Cancún

Thanks to our friends (in high places thx J&N)we are staying in Cancún in a resort on the beach opposite Isla Mujeres. Women island.

On our arrival the children could not believe there eyes! ” we have never stayed anywhere like this before!!!!!” ” and probably never will again” interjected Bella.

The gingerbread house was the first thing to impress.

Then there was the night view from our unit.

Then there was the view the next morning!!!!

The children were in heaven!!! And the parents were pretty impressed as well!

Cancún is a resort city. The are hotels everywhere targeted at a PARTICULAR type of guest. Some of them may be seen in the background of some of our photos. You know the ones who buffet 3 times a day and never leave the resort. Well at least we left the resort!!!!

This week was meant to be a relaxing week after all that hard travelling!!!!!

Our first day was spent totally by the pool. Even the ever ready bunny Simon spent all day by the pool!!!! ( Sipping Tequilla he says ) We have had our excursions because we can’t sit still for too long and now we are moving on again to a 40 degree change in temperature!!!!! Canada (and Geoff and Erin) here we come!

The Mexican drivers are crazy – watch out. The resort was fantastic! Wills
Sometimes when we were driving around mum and dad turned into Mexican drivers! I also loved Isla Mujeres. Abi.
The pools at the resort were awesome. I liked swimming all day but there was only one kids spa and 3 for the grown ups. Isla Mujeres was loads of fun but very windy. Bel.
