We were warned by the neighbours but still we were woken to the sounds of Abigail “mummy and daddy wake up. \nWe had planned to go to a local market and do a bit more exploring so we set out for a little adventure.<\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a> <\/a> <\/a>
\nWe headed south to the town of Monpazier a bastide town that was founded in 1284 by King Edward I of England. This fortified town is four hundred metres by two hundred and twenty. It is perfectly quadrilateral and has a beautiful central square. There was plenty of snow and while it was nowhere near as cold as in Canada the snow here was wet and slushy – perfect for snow ball fights!!!! And snowmen!!<\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a> <\/a> <\/a>
\nWe tried to have dinner at a local resturant but most of the town had shut down due to the snow so we went back to the place we had lunch a couple of days before and walked home in the snow, as responsible parents do!!!
\nThe next day was beautiful blue skies and quite icy. There is something about snow, it is so different from home and it just makes everything look so clean!!!<\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a> <\/a> <\/a>
\nTomorrow we drive to Toulouse to catch a plane to Rome. Darren and Sarah will remember the weekend some years ago we were here with 6 others and we missed our flight from Toulouse. Hoping not to repeat it!!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
